Deleting your TourneyMagic data

Effective: October 13, 2026

You can delete your TourneyMagic account and the personal information attached to it at any time. You do not need to contact us to do it.

In the app

Sign in and open Profile.
Scroll to Close account.
Type DELETE to confirm (and your password, if you signed up with one).

If you are the head coach of a team that still has other members, the app will ask you to hand head-coach to another member first, so the team and its subscription are not left without an owner.

By email

Email support@tourney-magic.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will verify the request and complete it within 30 days.

What is deleted

Within 30 days of closure we delete or permanently anonymize your account: your email address, name, avatar, password hash, Google sign-in id, notification preferences, team memberships, invitations you sent, and any pending ownership transfers. Teams where you were the only member are archived. Any active subscription is cancelled first.

What is kept

Billing records held by Stripe and the Stripe identifiers on our side, for 7 years, as tax law requires.
Information we collected from public tournament and event websites (team names, entries, results) is about teams and events, not about your account, and is not affected by closing an account. See Section 5 and Section 6 of the Privacy Policy for what that includes and how roster information is protected.

Teams and rosters

A parent, guardian, coach or team administrator can ask us to exclude a team's roster from our matching entirely by emailing support@tourney-magic.com. No account is needed; the exclusion is permanent.

Facebook and Instagram

TourneyMagic's Facebook and Instagram presence is operated by us. We do not offer sign-in with Facebook and do not receive any Facebook or Instagram user data, so there is nothing to delete on that front. If you interacted with one of our posts, that interaction is governed by Meta's own policies.
