How many travel baseball games are actually close?

We looked at 300,510 travel baseball games from the past year:
- 8U: 19% were won by 1–2 runs, 61% by 7 or more
- 10U: 25% close, 48% by 7+
- 12U: 26% close, 44% by 7+
- 13U and up: 28% close, 41% by 7+
At 10U, a game is almost twice as likely to end by 7 or more as to be decided by one or two runs. Even at 13U and up, only about one game in four is close.
