Before you register: five questions
Published Oct 6, 2026 · by TourneyMagic
Five questions worth answering before you register for a tournament:
- Who's signed up so far? Count the teams in your age group, not the whole event.
- How strong are those teams? An event can be stacked at 16U and wide open at 12U.
- How many games are guaranteed? Two games or five changes what the fee buys.
- How far is it, really? Go by drive time from your home, not the town on the flyer.
- What does it cost all-in? Your share of the fee, plus gas, hotel and food for every family.
TourneyMagic shows who's signed up, how strong the field is in your age group, the drive from your home and the entry fee for every tournament we list. For the games guarantee, check the organiser's page.
