# TourneyMagic

> TourneyMagic (tourney-magic.com) helps coaches and families in youth travel softball (fastpitch) and baseball in the United States find the right tournaments. It lists upcoming tournaments from many sanctioning bodies and event organizers in one search, and rates how strong each tournament's field is from publicly posted game results.

TourneyMagic is built for coaches of travel softball and baseball teams. It answers the question they face every week: am I taking this team to the right tournament for its development this weekend? Coaches otherwise piece that decision together from a dozen organizer websites, word of mouth and guesswork. TourneyMagic puts every event in one place and shows how strong each field is compared with the coach's own team, so a team can find weekends where it will be challenged but still able to compete.

## How it works

- Search: upcoming tournaments by age group (8U to 18U), distance from a ZIP code, dates and organizer. Softball is at /softball and baseball at /baseball.
- Field strength: every team gets a rating from its publicly posted results across all the tournaments it plays, adjusted for the strength of its opponents (a head-to-head rating built from hundreds of thousands of games). A tournament's field strength, on a 1-10 scale, comes from the ratings of its registered teams.
- Competitive fit: against a coach's own team, each field reads as Confidence, Target, Growth or Stretch.
- Season Planner: builds and keeps a season plan of tournaments for a team.
- Independence: ratings come only from public results. Nobody can pay for a better number.

## Coverage

- Sports: youth fastpitch softball (primary) and youth baseball.
- Geography: tournaments across the United States, with weekly regional coverage of the toughest fields in Texas, Alabama and the Carolinas.
- Each week TourneyMagic publishes the toughest fields by region on its Facebook and Instagram pages.

## Pricing

- Free for parents, players and assistant coaches. Head coaches pay per team after a 30-day free trial with no card required.
